Everything's better than I expected
I've bought 7 books from Better World Books and was surprised that all of them were in perfect condition! They are all library books and I was afraid that they might be damaged or dirty (as other people mentioned here), but they are just perfect. The only thing is that I couldn't use a promo code on the website, but still the price was good.

So many issues with Better World
There are so many issues with Better World Books it is hard to know where to stop. First, while Better World notes that some of the snake oil books they peddle are ex-library they don't note this pertinent information for buyers in all cases. This means that those who don't buy ex-libs are playing Russian roulette every time they buy books from Better World Books.
Second, Better World is not always accurate in their categorisations of books. In general, books Better World categorises as like new are actually very good, while those they claim are very good are actually good minus or adequate, and so on and so forth.
Third, Better World too often misclassifies ex-library books as very good. Ex-library books, however, with their multiple stamps, their pasted in pockets, their pasted in check-out registers, and their pen and pencil markings cannot, by definition, be better than good.
Better World implicitly claims that it want to make the world a better place. Perhaps it should start by cleaning up its own house, a house in which library books are flim flammed as something they are not.
I can't imagine that I will be purchasing any more books from Better World in the future after my recent unsatisfying experiences with this firm.

It is 2022 and they are still using…
It is 2022 and they are still using Covid-19 not to ship to Mauritius. They even blocked my country IP-Adress access is denied. This is the lowest level they could have stooped to.

Terrible experience
Very bad experience. Book never arrived, no refund, no goodwill gesture. I won't buy anything from them again.

Good service
Good service.
Honestly, I was ready to give it a bad review, but after finally receiving the rest of my orders (used books) in five more days after the 21 business days passed, thought it wasn't a bad service after all. Made an order for four books on July 11th, one of them new. The new book didn't take long to arrive. Arrived July 29th. The used books took a little longer than expected (almost lost hope for them even). Two of them are ex-library books, but in very great condition. Overall, I would buy from Better World Books again.

Unfortunately...
Unfortunately, when I ordered the books, it implied that I was ordering the complete St Gregory Hymnal with supplement ... I only received the supplement. I would never have paid so much for just the supplemental pages ... lesson learned.

Broken CDs
Although the book came in fine, both of the included CDs were broken and the book had a TRACKER in it (which is weird)! As soon as I opened the package, the CD's came out in shards! This is the first time ANY book service we've used has failed in shipping us quality books. This is so disappointing! Plus: this book is for a college class and if the Proffessor hadn't also sent mp3 versions of the CD I would be out of luck. I would be rating it zero stars if that was an option.

Worst experience of my life with…
Worst experience of my life with shipping service. Books were not in stock when company was going to ship my product. Finally, they shipped a few books they could find. It has been almost a month (over 20 days) since I placed the order, and I still don't have my books. Found out today, after watching tracking number that the shipping label came off and now USPS can't deliver the package. So, it doesn't look like I will get the books they were supposed to be sending.

Ya a few comments down you will see Roll the Dice turn the page - and It was me and I gave betterworldbooks five stars for causing me the lease amount of stress - well apparently they were not happy with that and so they now have 6 books I ordered in limbo - all out of reno which is weird because the tracking shows they are sitting in Illinois - for a week now - and so I wrote in and disturbed some customer service guy named Brian not Brain - and he jumped into action and kicked that can 30 days down the road with the standard template response - blah blah blah = no call to reno to find out where the order actually is and no call to the post office - listen here is the real deal - if you don't get your books don't mess around with their customer service just go to your bank and tell them the deal and show they if you can print it out or take a screen shot of your order and your bank will do a charge back - where they just take your money back out of the book companies collection plate. however you can also write To BBB and do a review and a complaint and this causes Better world books to pay their people needless waste of time money in responding to you - and of course they will give you a refund - but the main thing is waste their time like they waste yours - when they don't do what they are suppose to do. Like gee I give them a five star rating and then take it back - and give them two just for brian kicking the can down the road instead of actually doing something - but of course brian is doing what they want him to do - so can't find fault in a guy hired to placate and kick cans - but better world books is really better wait books. so as I originally said - most of the time they do good but when they do bad they should hear about it so they don't slip into not caring and losing business like they are mine - heck I might as well use abes and pay less if they all use the same template - lol - I just pictured one big call center that they all use --- like the desk of Bobby in the show supernatural.

I have only ever had one order go astray and they refunded the purchase as soon as I reported it
If you still haven't received your order you should notify them. They will probably refund your purchase as it may have been lost.

I ordered a book on Amazon; by Dewey Lambdin (King's Trade), and paid for it. But Better World Books has today reneged on that order.
In my opinion BWB will need to tell me as soon as they have another copy in stock; and offer it at the same price they accepted for my offer on Amazon; i.e. £1.12.
